YouTube Gun Stunt Gone Wrong: Charges Filed After Boyfriend Killed

In what family members describe as a YouTube stunt gone wrong, a 22-year-old man from Halstad, Minnesota is dead and his pregnant girlfriend is in jail.

Around 6:30 p.m. Monday night, Norman County sheriff’s deputies responded to the 500 block of U.S. Highway 75 on a report of a shooting. Life-saving efforts were made and a medical helicopter was called, but 22-year-old Pedro Ruiz was pronounced dead at the scene.

Pedro Ruiz apparently gave his girlfriend, 19-year-old Monalisa Perez,a 50 caliber handgun and instructed her to shoot a round into a book he was holding, thinking it would stop the bullet. The couple had apparently tested the stunt before attempting it on video.

Perez was booked into jail for reckless discharge of a firearm. Read more at Fox 9.

  1. A 22 year old? And then we have these fake organizations spreading their propaganda that all Bachurim MUST get married at the immature age of 21?!

  2. I agree with the first comment, this is not news that should appear on a site like Matzav, this is not Jewish news or is it political news, this is nebech about two low individuals who are the opposite of what Matzav stands for ‘TRUE TORAH VALUES’

  3. This is just ridiculous. There is so much to live intelligently in a human universe that the very stupid remove themselves too badly.

Read your bible. It is blessing intelligent best life eased.

Who can think we have this disorder in any community?

In all thought, trash finds worse than trash.

    An ill fate.
