White House: Trump Has Called Obama ‘Handful’ of Times Since Election

President-elect Donald Trump indicated after his initial White House meeting with President Obama that he would continue to seek advice and counsel from the man he will succeed, and he appears to be making good on that promise, the Daily Beast reports.

According to White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest, Trump has reached out to Obama for a series of phone conversations since they met face-to-face for the first time, including a 45 minute discussion this past Saturday that he characterized as a “consultation.” Earnest declined to elaborate on the content of the most recent call, but he did confirm that it took place and that there have been a “handful” of similar calls since the election.
