Watch: NASA’s Insight Lander Touches Down On Mars


NASA’s Insight lander hit the Martian atmosphere at 13,000 mph on Monday, slowing to just 5 mph when it touched down on the surface. It sent its first picture from the red planet soon after. CBS News correspondent Jamie Yuccas reports.



  1. I don’t get it. What’s the big simcha? Billions of our hard earned tax dollars being wasted on this garbage. Everything here on earth has been taken care of? Poverty and homelessness has been eliminated? A cure for cancer has been discovered?

  2. Martians landed on earth. They walked into a deli and went straight to the counter where lox was being sliced. One martian reached over, took a slice and tasted it. “Mmmmmmmmm good” the Martian exclaimed. “This will go well with cream cheese and bagel”!
