One Killed As Rocket Hits Ashkelon Home

A 40-year-old man was killed and a 40-year-old woman was critically injured on Monday night when a rocket fired from Gaza hit a residential building in Ashkelon, Arutz Sheva reports.

In addition, a 40-year-old man suffered moderate injuries and nine others were lightly injured. Magen David Adom paramedics evacuated the injured to the Barzilai Hospital.

Since Monday afternoon, Hamas terrorists have fired more than 300 rockets at the Gaza envelope communities, Sderot, Ashkelon, Netivot and Be’er Sheva.

In one incident, an IDF soldier was seriously injured by an anti-tank missile that was fired by terrorists at a bus in the Sha’ar Hanegev Regional Council.

  1. As long as the one killed is not a relative or close friend of Bibi, Lieberman or other big-shots in the government, Israel will continue showing weakness. No sane country in the world would accept thousands of deadly rockets and deadly balloons being fired at their citizens daily. Arabs will continue firing at Israel until Israel learns to defend itself properly and retaliate with a heavy hand instead of shooting empty homes and empty fields.

  2. Despite the rocket attacks, Israel continues to allow entry of fuel and other materials into Gaza via Kerem Shalom crossing this morning.

  3. To whom it may concern;
    The killed man was a Palestinian living in Chevron who stayed illegally in Israel. – doesn’t diminish the need for a tougher response.
