[Video and photos below.] Last night, a neighborhood parlor meeting for Hatzolah of Lakewood was held at the home of R’ Dudi Zions. The event was held specifically to raise funds for Hatzolah of Lakewood’s Advanced Life Support/Paramedic Program.
The guest speaker was Rav Moshe Shimon Wosner, rov of Chateau Park-Nusach Sefard in Lakewood.
A powerful address was delivered by Lakewood Committeeman Meir Lichtenstein, who himself is a Hatzolah volunteer. R’ Meir, who was introduced by Rabbi Avrohom Waxman of Lakewood Hatzolah, explained what it means to be a Hatzolah volunteer and specifically what becoming a paramedic entails. The dedication and sacrifice, said R’ Meir, is remarkable, making the support of the community – financially and otherwise – that much more crucial.
