U.S.,Cuba to Resume Regular Flights


cubaThe United States and Cuba reached a preliminary agreement in Washington on Wednesday to resume direct commercial flights.

The news comes the day before the two countries mark the anniversary of the deal to normalize relations a year ago.

Cuban and American officials said they hope to have a formalized deal within the coming days, which could pave the way for US airlines to begin flying to Cuba over the next few months.

American and Cuban travelers are currently required to fly using charter flights or via third countries. Read more at USA Today.
