Trump Transition Was Told Flynn Might Need to Register as Foreign Agent


The White House confirmed on Friday that President Trump’s transition team was told before the inauguration that ex-NatSec adviser Michael Flynn might need to register as a “foreign agent” with the Department of Justice.

Flynn, who was fired from the Trump administration over his pre-inauguration contacts with a Russian official, registered just this week for the $350,000 worth of lobbying work he did last year that may have benefied the Turkish government. On Thursday, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said he did not believe the president was aware of Flynn’s foreign agency work before he was selected to be the top national-security adviser. Read more.
