Trump Lambasts ‘Non-Sense’ Russia Contacts Report

This morning, President Donald Trump slammed a new report in The New York Times that claims that members of his 2016 campaign staff maintained contact with senior Russian intelligence officials leading up to the election. Trump shot off a tweetstorm attacking the “fake news media” and its “blind hatred” of his office. He even called the Times report a “conspiracy theory.”

“This Russian connection non-sense is merely an attempt to cover-up the many mistakes made in Hillary Clinton’s losing campaign,” Trump tweeted. “Information is being illegally given to the failing @nytimes & @washingtonpost by the intelligence community (NSA and FBI?). Just like Russia.”

Menawhile, Reuters reports, the Kremlin dismissed the overnight report from The New York Times “Let’s not believe anonymous information,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on a conference call with reporters. He noted that the sources used in the Times story were unnamed. “It’s a newspaper report which is not based on any facts,” he said.

  1. Doesn’t the President have an official press secretary? The spokesman gets paid a nice salary to do just that, be a spokesman. Why is Trump being the one who is forced to respond? He shouldn’t have to get bogged down with all this tit for tat stupidity. He’s the President of the United States, for God’s sake. He has to concentrate on leading this Nation thru the troubled waters that we are in right now. I think I have a right to be concerned. What do you think Gibbs, the despicable Jay Carney, & Josh Disearnest were doing for the last 8 years?

  2. Just another example of how the left is just totally unhinged. They’re not making a mountain out of a molehill – they’re making a mountain out of thin air. Hopefully the country will have enough sense to realize just what they are.
