Supreme Court Allows NSA Spying


protest-nsaToday, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected an appeal without comment from a privacy rights group, which argued that a secret federal court was wrong in authorizing the government to accumulate electronic records.

The suit by the Electronic Privacy Information Center was filed directly with the Supreme Court, rather than with lower courts, due to “exceptional ramifications.”

The NSA has acknowledged that it collects metadata from telecom and Internet companies for national security. Read more at CNN.
