Shas, Agudah And Degel Contemplating A Joint Ballot For Upcoming Elections

The three charedi parties in the Knesset – Shas, Agudas Yisrael, and Degel Hatorah – have been holding meetings in recent days on running together in the April elections.

The initiative is one ballot at the polling stations that will include Shas and United Torah Judaism, with its two parts – Agudat Yisrael and Degel Hatorah – would recieve more votes and have more seats at the 21st Knesset.

The initiative became serious after it received the haskamah of Rav Chaim Kanievsky.

Prime Minister Netanyahu, who is leading in the polls, is ready to mediate between the sides in an attempt to secure a stable right-wing bloc, the report said.
