Secret Nevada Base Hosted Tests for Soviet Fighter Jets on Loan from Israel

israel-plane-fighter-jetThe U.S. government “secretly acquired” Soviet aircraft during the Cold War and tested them at Area 51, according to documents released this past week on the once-classified base deep in the Nevada desert.

From January 1968 to April 1968, Israel loaned the U.S. Air Force a MiG-21, originally obtained by Israel in August 1966, to examine the plane’s technical characteristics and evaluate its performance.

The CIA in August confirmed the existence of Area 51 when it released declassified documents through a Freedom of Information Act request.

  1. where’s your hakaras hatov? Why is America pressuring Israel to release terrorists and give murderers land, that they won in a war, and trying to promote peace with a tried and failed method.

  2. This story is old news. The Israeli test pilot of that MiG 21 said that Israel loaned it to the US. This was reported in the 90s.

  3. #1: The US’s hakoras hatov is in giving Israel $3B a year for the past who knows how many years.

And, you have absolute proof that it is the US pressuring Israel to release terrorists and give up lant, and not the idiotic, misguided, pompous egos who run the State of Israel and bend over backwards to look like an enlightened, liberal country?
