The Bnei Brak entourage, which included Bnei Brak’s deputy mayors, Chanoch Zaibart and Eli Dadon, and Foreign Affairs Commissioner Eli Hoder, first gathered at the home of Committeeman Reb Meir Lichtenstein. Mayor Reb Menashe Miller and Committeeman Lichtenstein then took the group to visit Bais Faiga, Lakewood’s largest girls school. The group then proceeded to the Lakewood Airport, off of Cedar Bridge Avenue, where they were taken for an aerial tour of Lakewood. They also visited Lakewood’s Industrial Park to observe firsthand Lakewood’s economic growth and opportunities.

The Bnei Brak askanim paid inspiring visits to the roshei yeshiva and mashgiach of Bais Medrash Govoah. Mayor Asher had already visited Bais Medrash Govoah back in November, when he first proposed the sister cities alliance between Bnei Brak, which has a population of approximately 170,000 residents, and Lakewood, which is home to about 100,000 people, 50% of whom are frum Yidden.

The busy day for the Bnei Brak contingent concluded with their participation in the massive Bais Medrash Govoah Annual Evening of Chizuk held in the specially erected tent at the corner of Cedar Bridge and New Hampshire avenues Tuesday night.
