Obama: Kerry to Talk Nukes With Iran


obama-kerryPresident Obama is taking Iran’s recent diplomatic overtures very seriously. In a speech at the United Nations, he announced that Secretary of State John Kerry will meet with Iran’s foreign minister to discuss Iran’s nuclear program, the highest-level meeting between the two countries in 30 years.

“The roadblocks may prove to be too great,” Obama said, “but I firmly believe the diplomatic path must be tested.”

Obama also said the evidence that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad used chemical weapons against his own people is “overwhelming” and that the international community must act. Read more at The Wall Street Journal.
