It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Mrs. Leah Breskin a”h of Lakewood, NJ. She was 67 years old.
Mrs. Breskin battled illness for many years with great fortitude, spending the last years at Leisure Chateau in Lakewood. She was hospitalized at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, NJ, where, last week, her condition deteriorated. She rallied, however, and then suffered another deterioration, passing away over Shabbos.
Mrs. Breskin was a daughter of Rav and Rebbetzin Moshe Finkel zt”l. She was a granddaughter of the rosh yeshiva of Mir, Rav Eliezer Yehuda Finkel zt”l, and a great-granddaughter of Rav Nosson Tzvi Finkel zt”l, the Alter of Slabodka. Her mother, Rebbetzin Nechama Eidel, was a daughter of Rav Mordechai Dovid Levin zt”l, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Eitz Chaim and author of Darkei Dovid. Mrs. Breskin was a sister of Rav Elya Boruch Finkel zt”l, R”M at Yeshivas Mir Yerushalayim.
Mrs. Breskin is survived by her husband, Rabbi Shmuel Breskin, and her children, Motty and Nosson.
The levayah will be held on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at the Congregation Sons of Israel Holocaust Memorial Chapel, located at 613 Ramsey Street, off of East Seventh Street in Lakewood, NJ. The aron will then be flown to Eretz Yisroel, where a levayah will be held at 2 p.m. at Yeshivas Mir Yerushalayim, followed by kevurah on Har Hamenuchos.
