Michelle Obama’s Book Sells 1.4 Million Copies In First Week

Former first lady Michelle Obama’s new book, “Becoming,” sold more than 1.4 million copies in its first week, making the book one of the year’s biggest debuts.

The publisher reportedly printed 3 million hardcover copies for North America based on retailer demand.

The rate at which Obama’s new book is being sold is reportedly surpassing the pace of previous memoirs by penned by former first ladies, including Hillary Clinton’s 2003 book, “Living History,” which the AP notes sold roughly 600,000 copies in its first week.
