Macy’s Thanksgiving Balloons Heading To Yerushalayim

Each year, millions of Americans tune in to watch the iconic balloons float down Manhattan’s Sixth Avenue during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

And this year, soon after the balloons complete their Thanksgiving duty, some of them will be packed up to take part in a one-of-a-kind parade in Yerushalayim on Chanukah.

The event, titled “Together: Marching with World Jewry,” is slated to take place on December 3 in the capital, on the second night of Chanukah. In addition to the famous balloons, the parade will include a performance by rapper Matisyahu, a show from local group Nechi Nech, a parade of classic cars, and the participation of athletes, celebrities, ministers and other politicians.
