Lieberman: Democratic Party Is Not Anti-Jewish

Former Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), who was once a Democrat, said in an interview broadcast Sunday that the Democratic Party “is not an anti-Jewish party” but that it has members who say anti-Semitic things.

“The Democratic Party is not an anti-Jewish party, but there are some people in the party now, including in Congress as we’ve seen from Congresswoman Omar…who are saying explicitly anti-Semitic things,” Lieberman, who is Jewish, said in an interview with radio host John Catsimatidis on AM 970 in New York.

  1. He needs a GOOD psychiatrist !!!! He needs to take his strong meds!!!! Time for your early half price dinner at your local non kosher dinner !!!! and its off to bed at 7 PM !!!!!!!

  2. R u kidding? Can u imagine if a Jewish Congress person said something remotely similar about a black or a Muslim and being tolerated for 1 minute?

  3. Joe Lieberman, a very decent man, is 100% correct – the Democratic party isn’t anti-Semitic.

It is far less pro-Israel than the Republican party and far less pro-Israel than the Democratic party itself used to be as recently as 10-20 years ago. Furthermore, it has shown an unwillingness to confront and sanction Rep. Omar for her repeated anti-Semitic comments, and couldn’t even muster up the will to explicitly condemn antisemitism itself, instead issuing a mealy-mouthed condemnation of “All forms of hate”.

It has drifted far from the pro-Israel Democratic party of Al Gore and Joe Lieberman that existed twenty years ago, to the extent that registered Democrats nowadays are as sympathetic to the Palestinians as they are to Israel. And the tolerance of explicit antisemitism by so many Democrats is very, very disturbing.

  4. Dems sell out Israel and have finally declared Jews no longer matter to them. They are the BDS party. May they internally combust. Trump is a gift from Hashem. May he live long and remain a strong president!
