Cuomo Claims Jews Are Bad Dancers In Shocking Joke During Speech At Harlem Church

The NY Daily News reports that NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo went to a black church and made an awkward joke about Jews on Palm Sunday. “I’m a Catholic,” Cuomo told parishioners at Harlem’s Mount Neboh Baptist Church. “Catholics basically believe the same thing as Baptists believe. We just do it without the rhythm. But we try. We try. We are not as without rhythm as our Jewish brothers and sisters.”
The News reports: “Cuomo, invoking several stereotypes in his cringeworthy attempt at humor, fell flat with the Jews-can’t-dance joke, but that didn’t stop the governor from adding to the thou shalt not list. Cuomo even singled out Democratic consultant Hank Sheinkopf, a former campaign adviser who is Jewish, who was sitting in the front row wearing a yarmulke. ‘I was just watching Mr. Sheinkopf here in the front row, moving to the music,’ Cuomo said. ‘It was ugly. It was ugly.'”

  1. Stupid and ill-advised attempt at humor, no more and no less. If you want to be offended, go right ahead, but I’m not.

  2. Come on, do we have to make an issue out of a little joke?

Can I make a “shocking suggestion”? The guy with the yarmulka was not where he belonged. A Jew doesn’t belong in church.

  3. We should be outraged about legitimate issues, like Cuomo ramming toeivah ‘marriage’ through the legislature unlawfully a few years ago in NY.

    Not about nonsense like this.

  4. Gov Cuomo’s actions are what really count . He has been an exceptional friend to the jewish people and we are very thankful for that

  5. Sounds like he’s running for President, after all Trump did this kind of stuff and it worked, so why shouldn’t he give it a try?

  6. such a good friend that we still can’t get tuition tax credits. AND NY won’t allow withdrawals from the NY529 to pay for k-12. So much for your “good friend”.

  7. What’s called a friend of the Jews. He and his father were no friend. His father refused to send in the national guards during crown heights pogrom. That’s why Boro park jews voted against him on his second run.

  8. I am shocked that people are taking this as a joke. This is not a funny joke at all. There’s a little truth to every joke, obviously Caumo has some sort of anti Semitic feeling in his heart. Typical “ Eisav sonei es Yaakov “. You can’t trust any goyim. This is part of galus, and there’s no use pretending that they really like us

    • Yes we all know eisav sonei es yaakov. and i hope nobody is offended by his stupid comment. and just btw, jews are amazing dancers, anyone that hasn’t seen it should go go the next chasuna and watch the bochurim dance!!!!
