Abbas Won’t Meet Pence As Palestinians Seek New Mediator

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will not meet with US Vice President Mike Pence later this month and is seeking a new mediator in peace talks with Israel in protest against Washington’s decision to recognize Yerushalayim as Israel’s capital.

“We will seek a new mediator from our Arab brothers and the international community, a mediator who can help with reaching a two-state solution,” Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki said.

Egypt’s Coptic Church has rejected a meeting requested by U.S. Vice President Mike Pence during his visit later this month as well.

The Church “excused itself from hosting Mike Pence” when he visits Egypt, citing President Donald Trump’s decision “at an unsuitable time and without consideration for the feelings of millions of people”, MENA said. Read more at REUTERS.

  1. Good luck with finding a mediator that will be acceptable to both sides.

The Palinazis play both sides of the coin: on the one hand they are the downtrodden easily insulted underdog; on the other hand they are ruthless, vicious murderers of Jews.

  2. Abas isn’t relevant. He doesn’t get to decide who’s a fair mediator. Terrorists aren’t held on the same playing level. United States understands the needs of a democracy that’s why if the Palestinians ever want to have a place to call their own, they’ll need a mediator like United States. They are a terrorist organization that has no historical rights to any land anywhere, but Israel was stupid enough to validate them and as a result the United States, being the worlds greatest democracy, can mediate what in these circumstances Israel can give to the Palestinian terrorist regime in order to maintain Israel’s security and to ensure Israel stays fair and democratic. This move by trump was brilliant and the only way to ever insure that the terrorist regime don’t ever think that the world will give them undeserved land that will endanger the lives of Israelis.
