Vice President Joe Biden’s aides allegedly met with staff from the Democratic National Committee this week, a sign he may plan to enter the 2016 presidential race, the New Yorker reported on Thursday, citing a DNC official.
The Biden aids were reportedly briefed on “arcane but crucial rules” and details such as the primary claendar, filing deadlines and state-by-state processes for selecting delgates and super delegates. Similiar meetings with also held with other candidates including Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Martin O’Malley, Jim Webb and Lincoln Chafee.
“I think it means he’s running,” the source told the magazine.
A DNC spokesman did not confirm or deny that the meeting took place, according to the New Yorker. Read more at the New Yorker.
