It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Rav Shmuel Naftali Ganger zt”l. He was 90 years old.
Rav Shmuel Naftali was born in Yerushalayim on 20 Tammuz תרפ”ו. He served as the rosh yeshiva of the Sanz-Klausenberger Yeshiva in Eretz Yisroel after being appointed to that position by the Shefa Chaim of Sanz-Klausenberg. He was later marbitz Torah at the Sanz-Klausenberger Yeshiva in the United States.
Rav Shmuel Naftali was very close to the admorim of Sanz-Klausenberg. Over his decades of harbotzas haTorah, Rav Shmuel Naftali influenced hundreds of talmidim. He served as the shliach tzibbur and makrei on the Yomim Noraim at Sanz-Klausenberg.
The levayah was held today at the Sanz-Klausenberger Bais Medrash in Boro Park, Brooklyn. The aron will be flown to Eretz Yisroel today and a levayah will be held at the Sanz-Klausenberger Bais Medrash in Yerushalayim, followed by kevurah on Har Hazeisim.
Yehi zichro boruch.
