It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Rav Eliezer Rosner zt”l, noted rov, kiruv activist and rosh verishon lechol dovor shebekedusha.
Rav Rosner was a kiruv legend, serving as R’ Zev Wolfson’s right hand man in Eretz Yisroel and managing many of his kiruv efforts in the Holy Land for decades.
A rov in Montreal and elsewhere, Rav Rosner was a talmid chochom of note, an eloquent speaker, and a mayan hamisgaber who possessed chiddushim and insights on myriad Torah topics. Any conversation with Rav Rosner was a rich one, replete with Torah novella and thoughts on emunah and other inyanim.
A rov from the old school, Rav Rosner was staunch in his ideals and hashkafos, and he shared that strength of character with his congregants, who saw in him purity and genuineness.
During the last period, Rav Rosner, after retiring from the rabbinate, resided with his children, Rabbi and Mrs. Moshe and Dina Rosner in Lakewood, NJ.
The niftar is being flown via JFK International Airport to Eretz Yisroel for kevurah there.
