The Ramallah Municipality recently announced that it is to name a street after Fidel Castro “in recognition of Castro’s support for the Palestinian people and former PLO leader Yasser Arafat,” the Jewish-Latin American Iton Gadol reported.
In 1973, Castro suddenly announced the rupture of relations with Israel and declared his recognition of the PLO.
At the same time, Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) reported that Fatah’s official television station Awdah broadcast a terrorism promoting song seventy-three times during the last month on an average of twice a day and broadcast it hundreds of times since February 2015. The song’s lyrics include verses saying: “There is no force in the world that can remove the weapon from my hand. My weapon has emerged. My weapon has emerged.”
