Congressman Jason Chaffetz formally announced that he will be running for Speaker of the House on Fox News Sunday. Chaffetz’ name had been floated around as a potential replacement for former Speaker John Boehner and he spoke to Politico about his intentions to oppose Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy this weekend.

Chaffetz has been the subject of headlines for a recent scandal involving the Secret Service leaking personal information about the congressman after his rejection from the organization. Read more at Politico.
