The Lakewood Moscow Kollel, just two years old, is already making big waves in the heart of Moscow’s large Jewish community. With a variety of programs, shiurim and personal connections, the dedicated members of this incredible organization are hard at work bringing the light of Torah to the people they come in contact with and spreading the beauty of yiddishkeit throughout Moscow.
The Moscow Lakewood kollel targets young professionals and young families, seeking to introduce and/or further their commitment to a Torah lifestyle and ultimately be able to give back to the community by helping to build it further.
To this end, a new project underway, the Lakewood Moscow Yarchey Kallah, the likes of which have not yet been seen in our community. Our kollel has chosen seven outstanding starter families who show great promise BEH and is treating them to a full week of learning and inspiration in Lakewood, NJ. The goal of the trip is to introduce them to a real Torah community, from the yeshiva to the chesed organizations to the jewish businesses and the wonderful families and individuals who at the forefront of the Lakewood community.
This is something they have never witnessed before and is hard to imagine for those who have never seen it. We believe that this trip has the tremendous potential to inspire these young couples to continue in their personal growth, to aspire to increase their Torah learning and to give them the perspective of a Torah community so that they too can one day contribute to the Moscow Jewish community in a big way.
An upcoming trip to Lakewood by members of the Moscow Kollel has the tremendous potential to inspire these young couples to continue in their personal growth, and to aspire to increase their Torah learning.
